Charming hotel, beautiful grounds, including a nice view from the common areas on the gorge, and the staff was very friendly, with free wi-fi in rooms making it a convenient choice for our stay.

The spa services were great! I had a fabulous massage. The views from the patio are amazing, and the jazz music in the lounge was a good touch. The historical decor gave the place a unique charm.

The historic lift in the hotel adds a unique touch that I truly appreciated. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making me feel very welcome during my stay.

It was just a good pick for a weekend trip in Hood River with value for price. The views from the dining room and patio are amazing! Be aware that the bar closes early during the week.

My stay was overshadowed by constant noise from the freeway, making it impossible to sleep. The bedding was uncomfortable, consisting of just a flimsy sheet and a thin blanket. To make matters worse, I was charged an unexpected grounds fee at checkout that I wasn't informed about.

The historic building exudes charm, complemented by lovely river views and a relaxing lounge patio. Staff responsiveness stood out, making any noise issues from neighboring rooms more manageable. However, the grounds could benefit from better maintenance, and my room lacked a microwave, which would have been helpful. For a unique stay, the old-world decor adds character, but the thin walls remind you that comfort comes with age.
